Master of Ceremony Competition
Master Ceremony (MC) Competition is a competition to measure students' ability to present an event, both formally and non-formally.
COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS
The competition is individual
There are 2 (two) rounds of competition, namely the Preliminary Round and the Final Round.
The final round is held if there are more than 20 registrants
The final round was attended by 10 participants with the highest points in the preliminary round
Each participant must take part in the MC Formal and Semi Formal competitions
Each participant who will perform must provide a copy of the text that will be read to the committee (MC Formal)
Each participant who performs must take a lottery number provided by the committee and wear the lottery number when performing and worn at the bottom of the costume (left side) - (MC Formal)
Each participant is not allowed to mention the origin of his/her university when performing
Each participant must bring the text to be read (using a plain folder) - (MC Formal)
Each participant must wear formal costumes and shoes when performing - (MC Formal)
Each participant who performs uses a standing mic that has been provided by the committee - (MC Formal)
Each participant who will perform is allowed to bring a cue card as a guide without being labeled with a college (MC Semi-Formal).
Each participant who will perform for MC Semi-Formal will be called to take the event theme (material) randomly and given five (5) minutes for preparation.
Final Round:
The number of participants who will qualify for the Final Round is only 10 (ten) participants according to the decision of the Judge.
Each participant must participate in the MC Formal and Semi Formal competitions.
Each participant must bring the text to be read (MC Formal), and a cue card (MC Semi-formal).
Each participant is not allowed to mention their college origin when performing.
It is allowed to change costumes.
TIME AND LOCATION
Race time : 5 minutes for formal and 8 minutes for semi-/informal
Race location : Batam State Polytechnic Campus

The Additional Winner of the Favorite Category is the contestant who receives the highest score after the Main Winner of the Competition.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The material presented is in accordance with the theme
Mastering the material without stuttering and developing the material (flexible, not memorizing)
Delivery techniques such as articulation (accuracy of pronunciation, mention of phonemes of letters), accentuation (accuracy of accent use, and not dialect), and intonation (high low, fast slow, and voice pressure).
Use good and correct Indonesian and English in accordance with the applicable rules and context according to the topic and theme, time, situation, condition, audience, reader, variety, etc.
Able to show performance which includes attitude, clarity of theme, mastery of audience, opening, and closing.
